This is the heartwarming moment two kittens were rescued after they were found trapped under a narrow gap between two buildings in Thailand.

Chanthawan Proudang, 21, said she heard strange noises in their kitchen in Chachoengsao province on November 26 evening.

The young animal lover went around their house to find the cat, but without success so she called the rescue team for help.

She said: "I suspected that the cat might be stuck in the gap between our wall and the next-door shop's. There is a thin gap there where the cat can enter."

The rescuers removed the glass from the kitchen window before lighting a torch to inspect the gap.

There they saw a kitten crying at the bottom of the ten feet high wall before a rescue volunteer took out a snake catching rod from their truck.

The volunteer used the noose at the end of the rod to hook the kitten's body and successfully lifted it out quickly.

However, while checking the kitten for injuries, they heard another cat crying so they searched for it again.

It wasn't at the bottom of the gap so they had to follow its sounds which led them to the kitchen air duct.

The rescuers widened the opening on the passageway and pulled the kitten out before giving it to the house owner. The rescue operation lasted half an hour.

Chanthawan adopted the two rescued kittens which were given food and water after they have been cleared of injuries.
