A security camera in southern India has captured the remarkable moment an elderly woman emerged unscathed after a truck ran her over.

Theresa was on her way to the bus stand at Tiruchengode in Tamil Nadu on December 2.

As she was crossing a road, a truck driver failed to see her while making a turn and hit her.

CCTV footage shows Theresa falling between the wheels of the truck and emerging unharmed after the vehicle passes over her.

A few men at the spot rushed to help the distressed woman to her feet.

Local police have registered a case and arrested the lorry driver, Tamilchelvam.
