Cal Fire responded to reports of a commercial structure fire at the Stagecoach Auto Collision at 4097 W Ramsey St in Banning, California. Arriving crews located an auto collision strip mall with smoke and fire showing. Calfire requested a second alarm upgrade to the incident due to the size of the structure and residential exposures on one side of the structure. Firefighters had the fire contained in about 45 minutes. Multiple vehicles parked on the property or being worked on were destroyed. Several shops were also destroyed or heavily damaged by the flames. No homes on the exposure side were damaged by the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.
