Chaos broke out in northwestern India on Saturday (December 5) when a wild leopard evaded capture by entering a home and attacked one person.

Footage filmed in the Bhagvapura area of Gondal city in Gujarat shows the big cat leaping from a roof into the courtyard of a home below.

The terrified animal tears around the courtyard, attacks an official from the forest department and then flees.

Officers from the forest department were trying to catch the leopard when it suddenly broke free shortly before the video begins.

Efforts to track and capture the big cat are ongoing, according to officials.

A wild leopard which entered a locked house escaped during a rescue attempt by forest department , leopard attacked one forest official and ran away .
The incident happened on 5th November in Bhagvatpura area in Gondal city of Gujrat , when some people spotted a leopard entering a locked house via roof , locals informed the forest department .
Forest team arrived at location with cage to rescue leopard , during a rescue op the leopard suddenly came out from roof and ran away before hurting a forest officer .
Forest team is trying to track and rescue the leopard .
