A community in Twin Lake, West Sumatra came to a halt after two adult Sumatran tigers made their way into the village.

One of the two tigers was eventually captured on Sunday (December 6) and the other was caught the following Monday.

Due to the emergence of the two adult tigers disturbing the residents, the conservation office staff and the forestry police together with the local community made efforts to evict and arrest the two tigers. It was seen that the officers tried to pop the animal-repellent mariam so that the two tigers would return to the forest, but these efforts were unsuccessful and the tigers continued to appear on the passion fruit plantations and in the plantation bushes.

one of the officials at the Sumbar conservation center said that "it is not yet known what caused the two tigers to come down to residential areas".

Meanwhile, a local resident of Suwardi said that "with the appearance of the tiger, the local economy was disturbed because they could not farm for fear of becoming prey".

In order for the tiger to be caught, officials from the West Sumatra Conservation Center and Forest Police set traps or will attempt to shoot anesthetics from the veterinarians of the West Sumatra Province Nature Conservation Center.

Meanwhile, the capture of the tiger is carried out with great care so that the Sumatran tiger habitat is still threatened with extinction.
