Diner puts friend's hair into food in attempt to get free food from Chinese restaurant
A diner was spotted pulling her friend's hair out and dropping it into a hotpot in an audacious attempt to claim free food at a restaurant in northern China.
The CCTV video was filmed in the city of Jincheng in Shanxi Province on December 3.
A woman is seen pulling her friend's hair out and then putting it into the hotpot they were eating from. She then pretended that she picked the hair up from the pot of soup and asked a waitress to check it.
The restaurant deducted 82 yuan (£9.40) from the total bill of 182 yuan (£21) for them but later saw the surveillance camera footage and called the police.
According to reports, one person has been detained for five days.
