A giant 6 meter Santa Clause has been towering over a street in Derby, UK bringing festive cheer to the community and all that see it as they drive past. The Santa can be seen on Stenson road in Normanton Derby.

The owner of the giant 6 meter tall Santa is Vijay Kumar who first put the Santa up at Christmas in 2018. He was unable to put the huge decoration up in 2019 due to working up until christmas but due to being on furlough because of the recent coronavirus pandemic Vijay was able to show off the spectacular decoration.

He said in an interview "I just had to do it to cheer myself up, and the kids up and the parents up". "I wanted to do something really good this year because of what's going on". "Yesterday there was a kid and his mom, and the kid was staring at it. It was like a real life banksy".
