A car smashed into a hospital, injuring two after the motorist pressed the accelerator by mistake in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Chenzhou in Hunan Province on December 3, shows a car reversing a first and then suddenly speeding into the hospital's hall.

According to reports, the motorist named Cao heard a sound of a crash and a woman’s screaming when he was reversing, so he thought he may have hit someone.

When he was about to stop the car, he pressed the accelerator instead of the brake by mistake.

A woman was hit by the car and suffered minor injuries, reports said.

12月3日中午，郴州宜章县第一人民医院发生惊险一幕，一辆小车突然冲进医院大厅，所幸当时不是就诊高峰期，事故造成两人轻微受伤，监控记录下事发全过程。
监控显示，下午1点59分，这辆湘L牌照的白色小车，停在人民医院大门前坪，车辆启动后先是往后倒了一把，紧接着加速越过前面台阶，径直冲向了住院部一楼大厅，撞到电梯的闸房和大厅中央立柱才停了下来，周边群众纷纷避让，一女士因躲闪不及被挂倒在地受轻伤。
驾驶员曹某今年55岁，持有C1驾驶证，经酒精和尿液测试，排除了酒驾和毒驾嫌疑。
驾驶员 曹某：我启动车后不知道怎么回事，整个人都是蒙的，不知道怎么就冲进来了。我的车车头是朝前面，朝大厅前面，要退出来才能往前走，大概退了一米我听到有一点撞击声，我不知道是不是撞到车了，就听到有个女人叫了一声，我以为是撞人了，不得了，我本来是想停下来的，想停在N档的，那下就慌张了，就挂到了D档，油门一加，我以为是踩的刹车，可能是踩的油门。

曹某承认一时失误，才将油门当刹车，他将承担此次事故的全部责任。
