Staff and students at Stoke Newington School and Sixth Form in Hackney, north London were evacuated on Thursday (December 10) after a bomb threat.

Footage shows students and staff returning to the building through a police cordon.

Speaking on camera, a student explains that they were evacuated first unbeknownst and taken to a local park for a register in their forms.

Hackney Council said on Twitter: "Stoke Newington School is closing early today following an incident.

"Staff and students have been evacuated, and the police are completing checks of the building.

“Clissold Road and Clissold Leisure Centre are also closed. Please avoid the area while the closure is in place.”
