Pet cat stranded for over a day rescued from deep well in southern India
A domesticated cat that accidentally fell into a deep well in southern India's Karnataka was rescued after being stranded for over 24 hours on November 27. The incident took place in Konchady of Mangalore.
A video featuring the rescue operation shows the Good Samaritan descending down the deep well with the help of thick ropes bound to her body. She can be seen carefully stepping down, risking her own life to save the tiny feline.
Upon approaching the cat, it starts to mew before being rescued by being put into a large sack. The woman then ties a rope around the sack that is pulled up by another person standing upon the ground. Later, the lady is also pulled up by a group of men overseeing the rescue.
The cat had been missing for over a day when Rajani, the kind-hearted lady received a call regarding the rescue of the same from a deep well. On being informed, she rushed to the spot to help out the cat and successfully rescued it.
The cat is in good health and has been handed over back to its loving home after being rescued.
Rajani, the woman with a heart of gold, personally has adopted 18 dogs, who are either handicapped or too old to take care of themselves, at her own house where she treats them like her own children. Her husband is a tourist cab driver and supports her cause, as do her three loving children.
