An expert was called to a bank in southern India on Friday (December 11) after staff spotted a large snake crawling behind an electrical panel.

Footage filmed at a branch of State Bank of India in Ukkunagaram in Andhra Pradesh shows employes leading the snake-catcher to the place where the reptile was seen.

He quickly encourages the snake out from behind the electrical panel, catches it in his bare hands and wanders casually back towards the entrance of the bank with the animal twisting around his arms.

A snake was rescued from a local branch of a bank in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on December 11. The rescue operation took place in a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Visakhapatnam's Steel Plant Sector 1 of Ukkunagaram.

A video shows the rescuer walking into the branch and asking employees where the snake was spotted. The bank officials direct him towards the electrical panel at one corner of a room. He then walks towards the panel, opens it, and places his hand inside the box.

Within a few moments, a snake crawls out from the back end of the panel that the rescuer catches hold of with ease.

He then shows off the rescued snake to the rest of the officials present in the bank before walking out with the reptile.
