Furious workers at an iPhone manufacturing plant in India ransacked the offices today (December 12) after a row about payment of salaries.

Footage shows workers employed by Taiwanese firm Wistron Corp at a plant in Narsapura in Karnataka, trashing the offices after setting at least one vehicle on fire.

They were later dispersed by baton-wielding police.

According to local reports, around 1,000 employees earlier gathered outside the plant claiming they had not been paid their full salaries and demanding to be paid what was owed to them.

The Narasapura facility is being used to manufacture Apple’s iPhone SE, according to local media.
