My chickens woke up to their very first snowfall. So if you ever wondered how chickens react to snow you'll enjoy watching this video. They are Buff Orpington chickens a cold hardy breed originally from England. They are proving to be an all round good chicken for the suburbs and family with children. This is the start of our winter months in Canada. These are our first chickens we got them when they were just 3 weeks old. We ended up with 2 roosters . We now have only rooster Nugget who is testing out a no crow collar which reduces the volume of his crowing substancially. Rooster George has gone back to a small homestead with 40 hens and 3 other roosters. He was swapped for Buffy hen. We are loving our chickens
