More than 140 demonstrators were arrested in Paris on Saturday (December 12) after protests against proposed security laws turned violent.

Riot police escorted the march through central Paris and clashes broke out between the demonstrators and officers.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin tweeted police had made 142 arrests after "several hundred thugs had come to commit violence."

After the french president Emmanuel Macron asked his Interior Minister to "stop the black block by all costs", the police and the gendarmerie clashed with the protestors against the Global Security Law and against the Separatism Law in an authorized protest.

The Seperatism Law forbids anyone to home-school their children any longer, as well as institutions teaching "islamism"

French policemen are expressing a lot of anger since the last interview of Macron on the web media "Brut", where he admitted there were violence commuted by some policemen and that young black and arab people lived unfair "stop and search" police controls daily. They have been protesting through various actions since then.
