Three Thai men were married to each other in a wedding ceremony in Thailand.

Thanawat 'James' Pumthong, 30 is the husband of his two male lovers - Sanchai 'Aum' Sapjan, 22, and Tinnapop 'Teoy' Butrwat, 24, who have both taken on the role of wives.

The trio were legally married in a traditional Thai wedding ceremony attended by their friends and relatives in Chanthaburi province on December 8.

In their wedding video, the three men wore identical blue tuxedos with a black bow and were seated next to each other.

Their friends and family then proceed with giving them well wishes and gifts in a traditional Buddhist wedding held at home.

The husband, Thanawat, first became partners with Sanchai through Facebook in 2013 and has been dating for a couple of years when he met Tinnapop who was a dancer.

Thanawat said he was mesmerised by Tinnapop's dancing skills and had been close friends before developing a relationship.

He then decided to ask Sanchai if he was okay with having another person in the relationship who agreed and the three had been partners ever since.

Thanawat said: ''I asked both people if they were okay with having another person in the relationship and then we decided to marry the traditional way.''

Sanchai said he agreed to the relationship despite others thinking it was strange because he loves Thanawat so much and has a great personality.

He said: ''It’s a beautiful thing depending on your own perspective. We helped each other make a living.

''He always takes care of me really well and my parents love him. Tinnapop is also a great partner and we always have fun together.''

Meanwhile, Tinnapop said that he was happy that the couple were open to accepting him into the relationship.

He said: ''I was happy that they were open with me and they even introduced me to their family.''

However, the trio said they have discussed that three people is enough and they won’t have another person in the relationship.
