The disputed region of Kashmir is back in the spotlight for reopening the Gulmarg hill station as international tourists flock to the landmark to hit the slopes.

The footage from December 12 features interviews from the staff on sight as well as tourists visiting the region.

The story is about the revival of tourism sector post COVID-19 lockdown in Kashmir. Though the government has allowed tourists to visit Kashmir from June this year, there was very less influx of tourists in view of global COVID-19 pandemic. With the beginning of winter and early snow fall at World famous Hill station Gulmarg the tourism bookings have increased and all the stakeholders associated with the trade are optimistic about a good tourist season. The Tourism Department has already started many programs to attract local, national and international tourism.

With two bigger occasions ahead, Christmas and New year which are hosted in Gulmarg, and the Government seems to be ready to host the events.
