This is the adorable moment dozens of Capybara rodents walked in single file across a wooden bridge

Tourists flocked to the enclosure in Khon Kaen Zoo, Thailand, to witness the cute animals on December 12.

The brown rodents waddled out of their cage after hearing a zoo-keeper's whistle and balanced their way onto the end of the bridge.

However, a naughty Capybara decided to break the synchronised walking and jumped into the pond for a refreshing dip in the water.

Thonchon Kengsingh, the zoo manager said the Capybara did not fall down but deliberately jumped.

He said: "It didn’t fall, but jumped down the bridge. The animals usually like to eat and reproduce in water. They are really cute, like models walking the fashion runway."

The zoo, which is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the area, has the largest number of Capybaras in the country.

Thonchon added: "The Capybaras reproduce much more than other animals so we have 36 of them now at our zoo."

The manager said that Khon Kaen zoo follows all the regulations for COVID-19 and ensures their guests and staff always wears a mask inside the premises.
