This was the moment a herd of elephants ganged up on a group of local tourists at the Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka on Thursday (December 16).

Footage shows the encounter where a jeep filled with tourists taking photos are swiftly approached by a large group of elephants, with one male leading the charge.

The filmer explained that the tourists were approached by one male as he was trying to find a partner at the time.

Eventually, the tourists escape the situation in the jeep by driving off when it was safe to do so.
