The vigilance of a railway cop prevented a man from being run over by a train in northern India's Uttar Pradesh on December 17. The incident took place at Mathura Railway Station.

CCTV footage of the incident shows a man who was trying to board the train in a rush falling off the train and slipping from the platform. He gets stuck between the train and the platform in a dangerous situation before one alert cop notices him and immediately springs into action.

Two cops present on the spot rush to the man and promptly pull him out from beneath the train before another adversity can take place.

The incident took place when Jhelum train stationed at platform number 2 was leaving the station to head to New Delhi. A man in fear of missing the train then tried to board the train while in motion. As soon as he stepped on the door, he slipped and fell into the gap between the train and the platform.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) soldier Satish Kumar who was on duty on the same platform was fortunately close by when the incident took place. He immediately, along with another cop, rescued the man in danger.

Senior RPF officials recognized Kumar for his alertness and bravery.
