An exciting moment for this Labrador, Layla, was captured in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when she is united with her owner, Scott, on December 6.

Scott, who is visiting a little over six months into his yearlong overseas command position, was greeted by family and a clearly ecstatic Layla.

The family was unable to accompany Scott overseas, which made this reunion just a little more special for everyone involved. In the video, Layla can be seen anxiously waiting by the window before being let out, and overcame with joy.

Christina, who recorded the video, said: "My husband was selected for a command position overseas which is a yearlong assignment. Unfortunately, we are not able to go with him and had to stay behind. He was given some time off to come home and see us, so this video was the first time our dog has seen my husband in a little over six months and she sure loves him."
