Filipino Youngsters Walk Through Floods During Tropical Depression Vicky
Footage shows youngsters enjoying walking in the ankle-deep floods in the Philippines during tropical depression Vicky.
The video was recorded by resident Angkol Balot in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur on December 18.
Angkol said: “We still want to be positive despite what’s happening around us. Our place wasn’t hit as bad as the others, we are thankful for that.”
Storm Vicky battered several provinces in the southern Philippines with flash floods and landslides forcing mass evacuations.
The storm made landfall in Davao Oriental, but the weather state bureau said Vicky is expected to continue to dump heavy rain until Sunday (Dec 20).
