This is the adorable moment a pet bird showed off its singing skills to get its owner's attention.

The talented cockatiel named Choco was seen singing near the ears of its owner wearing a headphone while standing on his shoulder.

Pet lover Julio Cesar Vitti Deliberali Queiroz recorded the cute bird inside his home in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 13.

Julio said he was listening to a song when the bird came out of its cage and stepped on his shoulder.

After listening to the song for a few seconds, the two-year-old bird began to sing like it was competing with the music from the headphones.

Julio said: “He seems to want to prove to me that he is better than the singer he hears inside the headset."
