Rescue Team Use Lard To Free Snake From Glue Trap
A snake had to be rescued after it was stuck in a sticky glue plate while looking for food.
Rescuer Montree Aintachai was called for help after a Chrysopelea Ornata snake was found trapped in a glue plate used for capturing rats and house lizards.
He found the snake struggling from the glue outside a house in Kamphaeng Phet, northern Thailand.
The non-venomous serpent was believed to be searching through the house for food when it slithered onto the plate.
Montree scrubbed melted lard on the snake to make it slippery and he was able to free it after only three minutes. The reptile was later released back into the woods.
