A man dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, identified as Santosh Gandhi, climbed on a tree in central India's Madhya Pradesh on December 22 as a means of demanding justice. The incident took place in front of the collector's office in the Sagar district.

Visuals witnessing the incident features the Gandhi impersonator sitting on top of a tree in front of the office. The man demands justice, failing which, he threatens to commit suicide.

The onlookers, along with the authorities, gather beneath the tree in an attempt to pacify him. Santosh addresses his plea while clinging onto the branches of the tree, while the police officers stationed below him try to convince him to climb down.

Santosh, a resident of the Gourjhamar Police Station region, got into an argument with the officials regarding his brother's arrest. He accused the authorities of misbehaving with him and demanded justice for the same.

On the other hand, the police station in-charge, Sangeeta Singh, claimed that Santosh was wreaking havoc inside the premises and therefore was asked to wait outside.

Santosh's brother was taken in for questioning after being spotted at a raid-site. Moreover, he had at least 10 cases registered against him at the police station. However, the authorities were successful in placating Santosh and assured an inquiry in the matter.
