A driver in southern India escaped injury after crashing his car and being flipped multiple times while trying to overtake another driver.

Footage from December 22 in the village of Guddehosuru in Karnataka state shows the driver drift around a lane of traffic then flip the car multiple times before it hits a ceramics store.

Bystanders quickly come to the aid of the driver, who was left with minor injuries due to him wearing a seatbelt, local reports claimed.

This incident happened on Tuesday morning (December 22) at Guddehosuru in Kushalnagar taluk in Coorg. A Maruti Alto car lost control while overtaking another car on the state highway and overturned several times in the middle of the road. It rolled into a shop premises on the other side of the road and was captured on CCTV camera. Police said the car was owned and driven by Arya, a resident of Guddehosuru. Driver Arya escaped with minor injuries as he was wearing a seat belt.
