UK: Police And Lorry Drivers Standoff In Manston Over COVID-19 Travel Requirements
A tense situation developed in the lorry holding facility at Manston Airport concerning lorry drivers intending to cross the Channel without undergoing the required COVID-19 test prior to travel.
The stranded lorry drivers protested the conditions they were being held in on the Thanet Way. Roads including the A229 had been blocked on both sides.
