This is the moment an escaped horse ran through the traffic of Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on November 22.

Astonishing and sometimes unnerving footage shows the horse gallop freely on the busy street amongst moving cars.

The filmer told Newsflare: "When I was driving home, I saw this lovely scene - an amazing horse was running away from its owner and its home, not knowing where to go. I was scared for his safety because he ran between the cars, but he quickly realised that he is better running on the sidewalk.

"It seemed like he wanted to race us and show that he is stronger than we will ever be. Horses are such magnificent animals and gracious, even when they run to a gas station, leaving us thinking about whether or not he needs a refill or even a snack in the middle of the night. He continued running to his freedom, leaving everything behind. It was a very weird but cool experience, in my opinion.

One of the first forms of transportation was horse riding, and this video shows us that. A horse was wandering around the streets, and stepped in our way at one moment. It seemed like he wanted to race us and show that he is stronger than we will ever be.
