Moshi is a 6-year-old female siamese mix cat who has an obsession with going outside in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Especially when it comes to rolling in the concrete porch no matter the time of year. That is unless it's snowing, as evidenced in this video filmed on December 23.

The filmer and cat owner, Erin Valtinson (@erinvaltinson) said: "She does not appreciate it when "we take away the warmth" and replace it with snow. She has tantrums which include running across the house as fast as possible when she doesn't get to go outside. For a five-pound cat, she has a huge personality much bigger than her.

"She stood there staring outside in awe, completely dumbstruck at what she was witnessing. After a solid 30 seconds of staring, bewildered by the freezing gusts of wind and biting powder, she quickly turned around and ran away to have a tantrum."

Today our first big blizzard hit with winds gusting up to 50+ MPH and dropping our previously balmy 30 degree (F) days down into the negatives in a matter of a few hours. Minnesota gets colder than Arctic sometimes and our winters are filled with harsh billowing snow and subzero temps that can last weeks or months.

Today between some photography for work I decided to peek outside to listen to the sounds of the wind as the storm started to pick up. Moshi came running across the house but arrived too late. Alas! The door was closed and her chance was stolen. She stood up on her back legs, reaching up with both arms to paw at the door, meowing eagerly for just one chance at rolling around in the concrete outside. Little did she know that the door was hiding a frigid reality check for her. Certain she wanted to go outside, little Moshi eagerly shoved her way through the door as it opened only to freeze in place. (No pun intended.) Blasphemy! This cold white stuff had returned, thwarting her dreams of those favored concrete rolls.

"YOU PUT THIS HERE JUST SO I COULDN'T GO OUTSIDE!!" is the running joke in our family because she is so dramatic.
