Indian bison thrashes wildly while being lifted out of pit during rescue
An Indian Bison was rescued from a deep pit well in southern India on December 22, despite violently lashing out while being lifted free.
Footage of the incident, which took place in Salem, Tamil Nadu, shows the bison being rescued by forest and fire personnel with the help of local people.
The officials along with two other people are going down in the pit to rescue the animal. The bison is being tied with thick ropes all over his body so that it could be lifted.
After four hours of hard toil, the bison was finally taken out from the pit and was let free in the jungles. The rescue operation was led by A. Periyasami (Conservator of Forest).
