Hungry wild elephant caught on CCTV stealing food from patio
A hungry wild elephant was caught on CCTV stealing food from a house in Thailand.
The jumbo wandered across the front garden into the porch area of the home in Chonburi province in the early hours of the morning.
Footage shows how the beast plundered a pile of sugarcane that had been left out on the patio.
Resident Wiwat Laohapantakij woke up the next morning and noticed the area had been disturbed so he watched back his security cameras.
The jumbo was seen walking by the fence and heading for the food, where it spent around six minutes eating before turning and walking away.
Wiwat said: "The elephant used to come only in the night, but lately it started to look for food in the afternoon near my property, too. I'm scared."
