Philippines Earthquake Shakes Fish Tanks On Christmas Morning
An earthquake hit the Philippines on Christmas morning (Dec 25). The magnitude 6.3 quake shook the Mindoro region at 7:43 am local time and the capital Manila was also affected.
Video shows the fish tanks shaking at a family home in Bataan province on the northern island of Luzon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicentre was in Calatagan in Batangas province.
They warned of aftershocks but there were no initial reports of severe damage or injuries.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 144 km (89 miles).
