Through the keyhole: Videographer captures amazing moment sun appears through Durdle Door in Dorset, UK on Christmas Day
A videographer has captured one of the UK's most majestic natural landmarks on Christmas Day - the sun appearing on the horizon through Durdle Door in Dorset on England's southern Jurassic Coast.
Jonathan Warner, who captured the footage, told Newsflare: "For about a two-week period around Christmas the sunrise at Durdle Door is positioned just right for the sun to beam straight through the famous opening in the rocks.
"It has become one of the more popular bucket-list shots for many landscape photographers in the UK and around the world. With the advent of Instagram this popularity has lead to many photographers descending on the well known Dorset beach, often jostling for position to get that shot.
"This video shows the landscape prior to the sun rising, the sun rising itself (starting at 1min 24secs - wide and close-ups) and shots of the photographers (particularly at 1min 16secs). Plus as a bonus, shots of the cruise ships still moored up along the coastline."
