A herd of elephants was spotted strolling across a lake to relocate in Sri Lanka's North central province on December 17. The incident took place in the forest present in the Kala Wewa reservoir region.

A video witnessing the incident features a herd of elephants stationed amid a clearing surrounded by woods on either side. The herd, including infants, munches on the freshly irrigated greens while it rains in the region.

Furthermore, the magnificent creatures take a dip in the waterhole while a couple of them are seen walking rapidly across the lake, splashing water everywhere. The herd, including a couple of tuskers, ambles across the forest cover at their own pace, scratching themselves on the tree barks and munching on greens wherever they can.

The Kala Wewa region is known for the presence of elephants in the area. However, given the overflowing condition of the lake, the elephants in the region were spotted relocating to a different section of the forest cover across the waterhole.
