Memorial service for Boxing Day tsunami victims in Thailand
A memorial service was held in Thailand to remember those who died in the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004.
Footage shows relatives of victims laying flowers in Phang Nga province in the south of the country. The coastal region - popular with holidaymakers - was one the worst affected in Thailand with a total of 4163 deaths.
The 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami was caused by an earthquake which struck off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia.
A tsunami then killed 227,898 people across Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, the Maldives and even as far away as Somalia, where 298 people died.
