A trio of thieves in the western Indian region of Maharashtra was seen on CCTV dislodging an entire ATM in a matter of minutes and leaving with $26,577.

The CCTV footage captured on December 25 shows one culprit, disguised as a woman, working on the ATM and attaching a metal wire to it, the front of the machine is then dislodged.

The machine belonged to the State Bank of India (SBI), and there was no guard present at the time of the robbery.

So far, suspects involved in the theft are unidentified and still at large.

Three thieves managed to dislodge an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) kiosk in western India’s Maharashtra on December 25. The incident took place at Pabal village near Shikrapur in the Pune district. 

CCTV footage witnessing the incident features a man disguised as a woman entering the Automated teller Machine (ATM) premises. He fixes a metal wire on the machine and leaves the place. Within a few moments, the portal is jerked out by force, splitting the unit into two halves.

The machine belonged to the State Bank of India (SBI), and there was no guard present at the time of the robbery. So far, suspects involved in the theft are unidentified. Shikrapur police along with the local crime branch have started the search for the culprits. The group managed to steal cash worth Rs 19.5 lakh ($26,577) within minutes.
