A security camera in northern India has captured the terrifying moment a wall collapsed as several pedestrians were walking by.

Footage filmed in the Katghar area of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on January 1 shows a man, a child and a woman carrying a baby walking close to the wall when it suddenly falls.

The man and the child are crushed by the falling bricks but the woman and baby narrowly avoid a direct hit.

According to the police, the mother and baby escaped with only light injuries.

The man, Kapil Ahmed, is undergoing treatment for his injuries in hospital, according to police.

The child, named by police as Norman, suffered a broken leg.

According to locals, they have alerted authorities several times about the condition of the wall but nothing was done.

A women and her baby had a miracoulous escape from a wall collapse at Katghar area in UP's Moradabad .
The incident happened on 1st January during evening hours . In the cctv footage it can be seen a man with turban was pasaing the area ,suddenly a wall collpased on him , a women can also seen passing the area with baby in arms , but they miracoulously survived the accident . The man got injuries in the incident .
People can be seen coning in rescue after the incident .
According to locals they have several time alerted the authorities about the condition of wall but no one paid heed to their concern .
