The Argentine Ministry of Health has reported 317 adverse reactions to Russia's 'Sputnik V' vaccine after giving more than 32,000 doses to the public in the first two days of their national vaccination campaign.

"44.2% of the adverse events reported correspond to people with fever, headache and/or myalgia that started 6 to 8 hours after vaccination," the health ministry explained.

Short-lived flu-like syndrome with onset from 24 to 48 hours are also a known adverse reaction, the ministry said.

"These reactions have an average duration of 24 hours," the ministry explained.

Argentina began the vaccination process last Tuesday (December 29) with a batch of 300,000 doses of the Russian vaccine.
