A loose plank smashed a front windscreen of a car after flying off a transport truck in eastern China.

The dashcam video, filmed in the city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province on December 30, 2020, shows a plank smashing into the front screen of a car after falling from a transport truck in the opposite lane.

The motorist Ms Yang was too scared to stop her car on the emergency lane and did not stop until she drove seven kilometres to a toll gate.

The truck driver did not know the incident until he checked the surveillance camera.

Since the truck driver did not fix the planks down on his vehicle, the strong winds blew them off.

The truck driver was fined and paid compensation to Yang, reports said.

浙江嘉兴杨女士开着车子去上班，突然对向车道飞来一块木板，直接击中了她车子的挡风玻璃，行车记录仪拍下这惊险一幕。


12月30日早上7:48分，杨女士驾驶小型客车从天凝出发前往姚庄上班。在途径申嘉湖高速申向10k+100m处时，突然对向车道飞来了一块巨大的木板。瞬间，木板就击中了杨女士挡风玻璃。　　

张女士由于害怕，不敢在应急车道上停车，忐忑的驾驶了7公里后，才在姚庄收费站下高速向高速交警报警。


接到报警后，省厅高速交警总队嘉兴支队姚庄卡点大队民警快速展开调查，仅用2小时便查到洒落物车辆张某，随即联系张某到大队配合处理。



张某到大队后,起先并不相信是自己掉落的木板。看过民警提供的监控视频后，才意识到自己所犯的错误。

原来，张某驾驶的重型栅式货车放了几块未做固定的木板，途中遇大风飞出货仓，正好击中对向车道杨女士的车辆，造成车辆受损。


最终张某因驾驶机动车载物行驶时飘洒、遗撒载运物的违法行为，被处以200元罚款，不计分。经协商，张某赔偿杨女士车辆维修费用1600元。
