Truck gets stuck trying to drive through flooded road in Malaysia
A bungling truck driver was stranded after trying to drive through a flooded road after heavy rain in Malaysia on Monday (Janurary 4).
The motorist thought he could power through the muddy torrents which had overflowed from a nearby river in the town of Maran in Pahang.
However, the power of the water pushed the vehicle onto a verge where it was stuck among several palm trees. The embarrassed driver had to climb out and be rescued by locals
In the nearby capital Kuala Lumpur, roads were flooded and thousands of residents were evacuated.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Azisman Alias urged the public and road users to stay safe.
