A load of bull! Crane used to rescue bovine that climbed three-storey building in India
A bull had to be rescued by crane after it climbed onto the roof of a three-storey building on January 5 in the city of Jind, northern India.
Footage shows the rescue operation where the bull is surrounded on the roof by multiple people then attached to a winch and subsequently lowered onto the street below.
Building owner Naveen Garg was surprised to see the bovine atop the structure and immediately called the municipal officials.
In coordination with the local fire brigade, the municipal officials organised the rescue operation, claiming it was impossible to get the bull back down the stairs it initially climbed.
The rescue operation took three hours in total after the bull was tranquillised.
Garg later said that he thought the bull was seeking shelter from the rain and cold weather.
