Snow blankets Moscow

Buy video

Snow covers the roofs and grounds of the 17th century belltower, churches and monastic cells of Vysokopetrovsky Monastery (High Monastery of St Peter) in Moscow, decorated with Christmas trees. Founded in the 14th century by St Peter of Moscow, the Orthodox cloister gave the name to the adjacent Petrovka Street leading towards the Kremlin and the Red Square. In the late 17th century the monastery was reconstructed in festive Naryshkin Baroque style of architecture, associated with the Naryshkin boyars, related to Peter the Great. #Christmas2020 #MoscowChristmas #RussianOrthodoxChurch #architecture #VysokopetrovskyMonastery #snow #churches #ChristmasTrees #CoronavirusRussia
