Crafty and cruel cattle traders in India decide to take their cows on a swim across a river to save time and transportation costs in the southern India area of Telangana. The incident took place in the Somasilla region of the Kollapur municipality in the Nagarkurnool district.

The video shows a boat packed with locals while cows and other bovines are fastened to.

"Cruelly pulled through the river. The men at the back of the motorized vessel keep picking the heads of their cattle high while they endure the pain as they paddle all the way," the filmer said.

The region of Musalimadugu (crocodile marsh) near Siddheswaram is the center of the cattle trade, where bovines are traded from Somasilla and Telkapally on the other side of the river in Telangana. Dozens of families have been involved in the trading of animal meat for decades in the region.
