Extra month for as Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai sentenced to 13 months in prison now over pro-democracy protests

Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai had previously been sentenced to 12 months in jail on April 16 for his participation in an "authorized assembly" during pro-democracy protests in 2019, but the judge has now given Lai a 13-month sentence.

Hong Kong's District Court Judge Amanda Woodcock gave Lai a 15-month sentence which was reduced by three months in mitigation, now only two months mitigated.
