Protests at Boğaziçi university continue for the third day as students reject new the rector's appointment.

Footage from January 6 shows hundreds of students crowding together to listen to a speaker using a loudhailer.

The anger was sparked when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan picked Bulu as the next head of the university.

The appointment of the rector of Boğaziçi University by the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was protested by the students and academicians. Istanbul Governorship banned protests from being held in front of the university. Thousands of students gathered in Kadıköy protested against the rector Melih Bulu, who was appointed to Boğaziçi University, and the police attacks that took place two days ago. Members of parliament and artists also supported the students' action. The band called Bandista performed a music concert.
