Relatives of 11 coal miners killed by the Islamic State group in the western Pakistani province of Balochistan held sit-in protests to demand justice for the attack.

Footage from Peshawar city on Thursday (January 7) shows a candlelit vigil for the victims.

They were kidnapped by militants and killed on Saturday (January 2) after being targeted as followers of Shia Islam.

Protests against the Maach tragedy continue across the country. In Peshawar, the Imamia Jirga also staged a sit-in protest in front of the Press Club, demanding an end to the Hazara genocide. A protest was held in Peshawar under the auspices of Imamia Jirga against the Machh tragedy. A large number of protesters staged a sit-in in front of the press club. Participants said that Hazara genocide should be stopped, where are the political leaders who do not even show solidarity today, all politicians are afraid of these terrorists, 11 people were killed and no one is going to ask,women also took part in the demonstration. The protestors said that our protest will continue till Imran Khan reaches out to the victims of Machh. There is no such thing as government in the country.
