A 35-year-old passenger identified as Jahir Hussain, who arrived from Dubai by Indigo Flight number 6E 66, was intercepted at the exit on suspicion of carrying gold.

On further search, one bundle of gold paste weighing 390 grams (0.86 lbs) was recovered from the rectum. On extraction, 329 grams (0.72 lbs) of 24K purity gold worth Rs. 16.81 lakh (USD 22,898) were retrieved and seized. The accused has been arrested and an investigation into the matter is underway.
