This is the hilarious moment a father accidentally sawed the garden table in half while cutting wood.

Arthur Rivera Aguinaldo laid the long sheet of board over the plastic green table while he was doing DIY at the family home in Pampanga, the Philippines, on November 4.

He had been ordered to repair the kitchen so set out to chop the board into long planks to use.

However, Cezar failed to notice that while he was pushing the circular saw forwards, he was also slicing through the table.

Footage shows how he lifted up the wood and the tool, only for the destroyed table to collapse. It was then useless and had to be thrown away.

Arthur's son, Cezar, recorded the amusing DIY fail in the garden of their family home.

He said: "My father was a carpenter but he's a little old now and out of practice, so maybe he didn't expect to cut the table as well.''
