A dramatic video has emerged capturing the moment three vehicles collided on an icy highway in Colorado Springs, CO, US on Monday.

The footage was captured from a car travelling southbound on Interstate 25 shortly after 1:00pm (local time).

"I predicted that an accident was about to happen. I was right!" the filmer later wrote online.

"I saw a minivan speeding behind me and a black car, they passed me and were already sliding. The minivan hit the 18 wheeler and the medium. The black car hit the silver BMW and the pickup truck. The people inside the black car step out of the vehicle while the vehicle was moving. Nobody was badly injured."
