This film shows two Red Fox Vulpes vulpes cubs playing in the afternoon sunshine in an urban garden on a fine day in mid-May. When filming started the larger and dominant cub, a young dog fox, was keeping himself amused but shortly afterwards his sibling came into shot and much of the remaining material shows the interactions between the two. When it arrived the smaller cub (gender not conclusively determined at the time but later determined to be another male) decided that the most comfortable place to sit would be on the young dog fox. He had other ideas! Not long afterwards he had managed to turn the tables entirely by converting the smaller cub into furniture. It is always a great privilege to be able to observe tender (and not so tender) moments of wild mammals behaving entirely naturally as if the photographer isn't there!
