A deadly sea snake on a deserted beach is a sight to behold in Australia. The footage was filmed on January 2.

Walking on South Straddie ocean beach Karina and I found what we THOUGHT was a dead sea snake. Being a little more cautious than usual I didn’t pick it up which was a good idea as it started moving its head. It had probably been beached when the tide went out and it wasn’t in the best shape. Got a big stick and thought it wouldn’t hurt the poor fella if I tried to get it back into the ocean. After a few attempts to get it into water, the snake certainly woke up and quickly recovered - and the last we saw of it was when it swam out and into the blue. Later learned that it is quite a species

Found what looked like a dead sea snake on the deserted island beach, but when it moved its head I thought I’d give it a second chance and help it back into the ocean. It was amazing to see how it recovered and to see it swim out into the surf. Later learned how dangerous it is - but would happily do it all over again.

Great to see the deadly sea snake swimming back into the ocean after finding it in bad shape on a deserted beach and helping it back into the water. Watched it swim for a long time and great to see it disappear far out into the blue waves, An incredible experience
